One Human. Autonomous Agents. Zero Bottlenecks: Introducing CoAmi

Introducing my new business venture: CoAmi

Author: Lee Trett

Every great idea starts with a simple, friction-filled question: Why does getting it off the ground take so much work and human intervention?

I thought vibe coding might be the remedy for this, but over the past year, as I’ve experimented with it, I kept running into the exact same wall. I was spending my evenings acting as a human router - copying prompts out of ChatGPT, pasting them into Codex, waiting for code output, and then feeding that context back into ChatGPT.

I became the bottleneck. Why? Because as a human, I have to step away from my computer at some point, usually to sleep. Software development was grinding to a halt simply because the person bridging the tools needed eight hours of rest.

I realised we don't just need better tools; we need an entirely new architecture for how software is conceived, specified, and built.

Enter CoAmi, my latest business venture.

What is CoAmi?

Available at soon coami.ai, CoAmi is designed to be your ultimate business companion. The name itself comes from Co (companion or co-partner) and Ami (the French word for friend).

At the center of the platform is an AI agent named Ami.

The entire user experience is built around one single, powerful prompt…

"What’s your idea?"

You don't need a 50-page technical specification document. You don't need to know how to write a single line of code. You simply bring an idea - whether that’s building a new custom tech platform, a specialised web application, or a digital service.

Ami will talk you through it. She will ask all the right questions, gathering context until the scope is watertight. Once ready, autonomous AI agents step in. They work continuously in the cloud, asking for brief clarifications only when necessary, and handle the full build and deployment process automatically.

The One-Person, Autonomous Enterprise

CoAmi isn't just a platform for users to build tech; it is an experiment in how modern companies should be constructed.

I made a deliberate decision at the start of this project: no human developers will touch the codebase. While I could easily hand parts of this over to my dev team, doing so would break the core premise.

CoAmi is being engineered to prove a new paradigm: a business with one human owner, operated entirely alongside autonomous AI agents.

Where We Are Right Now

We are right at the very beginning of the build, and I want to document every single phase of this journey in real-time right here on trett.co.uk.

Here is where the project stands today:

  • Domain Secured: coami.ai is officially locked in.

  • Building the Builder: I am currently in the engine room, coding the underlying software engine that will ultimately build CoAmi itself.

  • The Road Ahead: Because this is unchartered territory, the initial build phase will take time - likely a few months as I refine how the agents communicate and deploy code.

Building something truly autonomous takes patience, but the potential is massive. I’ll be sharing regular updates as the software evolves, detailing the breakthroughs, the logic, and the real-world reality of building an AI-first company from scratch.

Welcome to the start of CoAmi. Now... what's your idea?
