The engagement Founded 2026

Xcho

AI has always fascinated me and I see it as a way of achieving my business goals faster and more efficiently. One of the areas I felt it could really be put to work was automating lead engagement and re-engagement, and Xcho was born out of this idea.

Xcho is best described as a lead engagement platform. I launched it with my Echo Finance co-founder, John Tarazi, but its potential application extends far beyond mortgages.

What is Xcho?

Xcho.ai is a tool that uses artificial intelligence to automate the process of making first contact with a prospective client, or re-engaging with one you’ve previously served.

You can set its persona to talk to customers in the manner that you feel is most appropriate (for example: friendly, professional, assertive), and when a new lead drops in real time, it will send out an initial WhatsApp message on your behalf, encouraging the client to book a call.

It will respond to your customers in a conversational manner and harnesses the latest AI technology to sound indistinguishable to an actual human being. Xcho’s goal is to get your prospects to commit to a phone or video call with you. It does all of the initial groundwork for you, so all that’s left is for you to use your expertise to convert the lead.

For older leads, it will send out an SMS message first and then follow up on WhatsApp if the client opts in. This is to prevent Xcho from falling afoul of WhatsApp’s spam filter.

Who it is for

Although mortgages are very much my wheelhouse, Xcho is not limited to professions in this industry. It’s for anyone in any line of work that involves engaging with leads.

Maybe you’re a gym owner who wants to re-engage with customers whose memberships are about to expire. Or perhaps you run a pizza shop and wish to target customers between the peak hours of 5pm and 8pm. Of course, it’s a great fit for those in mortgages and finance, but Xcho is for anyone, in any industry, that needs to engage with prospects.

The benefits of Xcho

The main benefit of Xcho is that it can save you time and money. Whatever industry you’re working in, your time is best spent converting your leads, not ringing your way through an endless list of them trying to weed out the dud enquiries and managing your diary.

Xcho does all of that for you, including putting those bookings in your calendar of choice, whether that’s Calendarly, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or another platform.

It can also be hooked up to your CMS so you can create different campaigns. For example, if you are a mortgage adviser you could use it to target customers who you sold a mortgage to but not life insurance, with a tailored campaign upselling protection to homeowners.

Like all good AI tools, Xcho can be trained. You can feed prompts into it to ensure it responds in the right way to specific customers, and in the most appropriate voice. It’s also possible to train it to exclude certain conversation topics with customers they don’t apply to.
